World's Best Chocolate Chip Cookies!

These are patterned after the alleged Mrs. Fields/Nieman-Marcus urban legend recipes that have been making the the rounds on the Internet since the 1980s. Even though the story is false, the cookies are delicious!

Cream together:

• 2 cups butter
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 cups brown sugar

Add:

• 4 eggs
• 2 teaspoons vanilla

Mix in separate bowl:

• 4 cups flour
• 5 cups (before powderization) powderized oatmeal. (Oats can be powderized by putting old-fashioned rolled oats into a food processor.)
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 2 teaspoons baking soda

Mix all of above. Then add:

• 24 oz. bag of chocolate chips
• 3 cups chopped nuts (optional)

Place on greased cookie sheet. Make golfballs, placed 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes. Do not overbake! Makes about 75.
